Pasar Badung is one of the oldest and biggest traditional market in Indonesia. It has long history of culture, tradition, and economic transactions.
In February 2016, there was a significant fire accidents that forced the market to partially shut down and relocated its merchants to other locations. The local government is planning to redevelop Pasar Badung in 2017, to make it better support the local needs as well as to feature it as one of the city attraction.
We did an independent discovery research of Pasar Badung, to uncover critical requirements, natural behavior, and nuances, that can be used to design and develop the new Pasar Badung with better service and space experiences.
Research was done by Anindya Fitriyanti, a service designer intern at Somia Customer Experience.
